Just a quick post for today. It is way too nice out here to spend the day in front of the computer. So no outfits posts or image editing. I took some quick photos of signs of spring and some cookies I baked this morning. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Sorry for the lack of posting this week! As I mentioned previously my posting may slow down for the next month or so as I get ready to move. I am working on a bunch of posts now though so that I can try to keep up. Today is Earth Day and Polyvore has an eco-friendly challenge going on so I styled an outfit for an Earth Day bike ride. Here is my set:

I included all the supplies you would need for day of bike riding and lounging in the country. As long as everything fit well I would wear this on a warm spring day. I have never tried on a boater hat though so I’m not sure that would work for me. This post makes me miss my bike a lot!! Click on the link below the picture to see where all the items are from. I had to perform the age old ritual of renewing my driver license the other day. I put a ton of thought into what to wear without remembering that none of your clothes show in a driver’s license picture! So this whole outfit basically went to waste. I think it’s a great outfit even though I got a lot of strange looks in the DMV haha. Does this count as mixing prints? Though lace is a texture I also think it can be counted as a print so I am going to go ahead and say that I am mixing prints in this outfit. Thus this is my second “Mixing Prints” post, you can check out my first one here. I took pictures in all the different layers of this outfit.
I promised a style inspiration post on Annie Hall (1977) on my twitter account (@TheBrokenClouds) the other day so here it is. Watching it again I forgot how much I like this film! My degree is in film studies so it is hard for me not to give lengthy descriptions and analysis of the films I am featuring. However, this is about style in movies so I am trying to mostly stick to that topic. Diane Keaton’s wardrobe in this movie had quite an impact on women at the time. While I was doing the screen grabs for this post I realized how many of these looks have come back in fashion recently. She has this heavily layered menswear style of dressing, which looks quite good on her. Here are some looks from the film.

I found out yesterday that a photo of me taken by talented photographer Jeremy Fraga made the cover of the Weekly Dig magazine in Boston! It really has nothing to do with this blog but it’s pretty exciting to me (and especially for Jeremy). So if you are in Boston pick up a copy of me haha.
