I belong to a lot of what I call sample sale websites (I’m not sure what the universal term is haha). After awhile I had to stop looking at all the emails they send me because it is just too tempting to spend money on discounted designer stuff. However, Gilt Groupe is the one site that I kept looking at everyday. I recently made my first purchases from Gilt and I am very impressed! They have great customer service and each thing you order is packaged well and with special little details like a Gilt Groupe box, velvet pouches, and a thank you note. Magazine Backlog

I have so many back issues of magazines to read it is driving me crazy! Some of them date all the way back to December. I am one of those people who likes to read every word in a magazine not just skim the pictures but unfortunately I think I may have to skim some of these just to catch up! Especially with fashion week (or month really) going on right now, there is so much to look at and read online about the collections that it is hard to devote as much time to magazines. Even for those of us not attending shows fashion week creates such a hectic online presence that it’s hard to stay on top of everything.
Hopefully I can get some good styling ideas out of this pile of mags because I want one of the features on this blog to be reproducing editorials out of magazines in a wearable manner with only clothes from my closet!

The Beginning

This is the start of something! After months of deliberation, hours of pouring over templates and editing images I am finally ready to blog…or so I think haha. I want this blog to be a reflection of my personal style and what inspires it. I find what inspires people’s style fascinating and I hope to learn more about my own style through this process. It is also important for me to push myself and my style, to take more risks, and to portray one example of what people really wear. I will be incorporating street style shots, films, books, photographers, magazines, designers, interior design, and anything else that I find inspiring into this blog.

So basically what I’m trying to say is that it’s time to get started, this is the beginning (and it took me a long time to get here)!
