Summer Wardrobe

A few weeks ago I promised to feature some of the clothes and accessories that I have put together for my summer wardrobe. As I have mentioned I have a really hard time dressing for spring and summer. Looking at my closet I had maybe 3 summer appropriate articles of clothing (not including tank tops) and most of them were black! So, this year I am determined to make a better summer wardrobe especially since I am going to be in a hot climate. I hung up my recent finds on a wall to display them for this post but of course they all look better on me than the wall and will be shown in the upcoming months in outfit posts. The pictures aren’t great quality but you get an idea of what I am putting together. Also, refer to my Want List for Spring and Summer post to see how I’m doing at matching those items.

Yes that is a romper in blue on the far right...I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to wear it though!

Now that I am in St. Louis and it is 90 degrees everyday I realize that I may need more dresses because it is really impossible to wear jeans in hot weather and even more impossible to look cute. I have to apologize again for the lack of updates, I have been so busy since arriving here that I haven’t had time to update at all! I am planning to get on a regular update schedule soon though so I can keep going with this blog which is really important to me. I’m not going to put where I got every item because that would take way too long but if anyone wants to know about a specific item just leave a comment and I’ll let you know where it’s from! Some of the clothes are thrifted though.

I feel you on this. It’s always hard to exmreipent with things that are decidedly beyond your comfort level. I have worn Maxi skirts in the past but that turned out badly, since I’m so short, and I haven’t ventured to try one since I was in grade 8 (a good 14-15 years ago!). I’m too nervous about them to try them now. I’m much too petite. You look amazing, though. Did not realize it was a skirt until I read the post. Thought it was a very Audrey-esque outfit with cropped, close fit trousers. Oh well, still bravo for trying a maxi! I’ll live vicariously through you.XX.Mae Lu,
